So I should be in bed, but am trying to catch up on stuff, and am still a little lagged (jet-wise) so I keep having visions of coffee dancing through my head, and was trying to think of most of the variations available here in Italy, as compared to the piccolo-grande-tall of Starbu . . . ()

Here goes a second try as blogdrive ate my first draft (which was turning out Soooo much better than this attempt, of course) and made me so angry I had to put it off a bit before retrying...Every once in a while the whole family gangs up on me (well, except the MiL, she catagorically refus . . . ()

As we continue on our culinary wandering through the alleyways of Venice... At lunch time many of the same places which have a spread of croissants, brioches, and pastries in the morning serve sandwiches and baked goods, like mini (2inch-ish) pizzas, or slices of pizza, or panini, or other, m . . . ()

so we discovered a new treat at the butcher shop the other day: pre-made (well almost) sausage sandwiches.To beat the old humdrum sameold-sameold, they took a piece of french bread baguette, hollowed out the fluffy white part in the middle, and stuffed it with fresh sausage filling. That's . . . ()
